A Multi-School Production with HEARTS Academy Trust
We were recently invited once again by the incredible team at HEARTS Academy Trust to document something truly special, a full-scale, multi-school production featuring students from across all seven schools in the trust. Music, performance, and celebration all under one roof in Brentwood.
As a long-standing client of ours, the HEARTS team already knew what we could bring to the table. And we were equally excited to step back into a space where creativity meets education in such a powerful way.
The Setup
This wasn’t a small job, it was a trust-wide production. Singing. Instruments. Award presentations. A huge team of staff and students working together to bring something magical to life.
To do the moment justice, we pre-planned a three-camera setup. One camera was locked on a wide shot, giving us full coverage of the stage and all the action. The second focused tightly on the instruments being played, from keyboards to strings, capturing the energy and precision of the students performing. The third followed the teachers and leaders, showing the passion and direction that brought the whole event together.
With these three angles, we were able to build a rich, multi-layered edit that captured the scale of the production without losing any of its intimate, human moments.
Beyond the Stage
The brief was clear - a full-length video of the entire event from start to finish, and a highlight reel for social media. But we wanted to go further.
So, while the cameras were rolling and the production was unfolding, we were also working behind the scenes to capture on-the-day images, stills that could be used immediately, giving HEARTS fresh content to share while the full edit was in progress.
This quick turnaround meant the energy and emotion of the event didn’t get lost in the post-production wait. It was already out there, celebrating the students, the staff, and the community that brought it all together.
A Project That Means More
We’ve worked with HEARTS Academy Trust on a number of creative projects, from concerts to virtual tours, and every time, we walk away reminded of the impact that thoughtful storytelling and good creative can have on education.
Being asked to return again speaks volumes about the relationship we’ve built, and the trust they place in us to tell their story, time and time again.
