Capturing the Final Night of the “Tree of Life” Tour
Closing a Tour with a Bang
A few months ago, Georgia Nevada reached out and asked us to cover the final date of the Tree of Life Tour with When Rivers Meet. Georgia supported the entire run, and for the last night they were hitting The Apex in Bury St Edmunds, a venue we hadn’t worked in before, but one we instantly knew would deliver something special.
When Georgia calls, you know the music, the energy and the crowd are going to be next level. And this show proved it.
Arriving Early, Planning Hard
We got there well ahead of doors. Early enough to take in the room, watch the pre-rig, map out the angles and figure out how to capture a live show that blends Rock ’n’ Roll power with Country character. The Apex is built for atmosphere, and we wanted every piece of that on camera.
With the Canon C400, RØDE VideoMic Pro+, and the Canon EOS R paired with our go-to lenses, we already knew the style, pace and detail we wanted. Clean close-ups. Fast cuts. Dynamic movement. The kind of footage that feels like you’re standing right at the front of the stage.
A Few Extras to Make It Unique
This show wasn’t just a straight shoot. We stuck an Insta360 X4 on the drum kit to get those wild, immersive angles you can’t fake. We coordinated with the lighting team throughout the night too, building moments that would pop on camera, including a full pink-out wash for Pink Cadillac. That moment turned into our favourite shot of the entire night. Pure power. Pure colour. Pure Georgia.
