Country Roads at ACanteen
Back at ACanteen for Another Country Roads Session
Our second time filming for the Country Roads team at A Canteen in Chelmsford did not disappoint. Part two for us, another packed night of live music, new faces, and that warm, grounded energy only country artists can bring. This one felt special. The kind of event that reminds you why live music matters.
Anna Kramer Sets the Tone
First on stage was Anna Kramer. Calm. Authentic. Effortless. Her set had this gentle stillness that drew everyone in. A true American country artist with that unmistakable tone that makes a room lean in, not out. It was some of the most soothing and intimate live music we’ve captured so far.
Arizona Jones Raises the Energy
Next up: Arizona Jones, Essex-based and absolutely brilliant. His take on Wagon Wheel… unreal. One of those covers that doesn’t feel like a cover. Controlled, confident, and honestly, maybe as good as the original. The crowd loved him, and filming his set was a dream.
Steady Habits Take the Headline Slot
Then came the headliners, Steady Habits, bringing a powerful, polished finale to the night. And in true small-world fashion, we ran into Joe Coombs, who we’ve filmed before with Jonny Morgan and the Moral Support. The whole set had that perfect mix of tight musicianship and live energy that lifts the roof off a venue.
Filming the Night
For this session we used the Canon C400, paired with the 70-200mm f2.8, 24-70mm f2.8, and the 85mm f2, a setup tailored for live performance, clean low-light image quality, and intimate close-ups. The RØDE VideoMic Pro+ helped us lock in crisp reference audio to support the edit.
Everything came together exactly how live music should feel: raw, real and full of life.
