Supporting the London Song Suffragettes at Lil Nashville

It’s that time of the month again, heading into London to support the London Song Suffragettes at Lil Nashville. These Sundays have become a fixture for us, and every session reinforces why this round is so important to the UK country scene.

This time, the lineup was something special: Georgia Nevada, Gina Larner, Brooke Law, and Jeorgia Rose. Four artists. Four voices. Four completely different perspectives, all sharing songs in their purest form.

A SONGWRITER Round Steeped in History

The Song Suffragettes movement began in Nashville as a direct response to the lack of female representation in country music line-ups. It was built to champion women’s voices, give them a platform, and put songwriting front and centre, no distractions, just stories and songs.

That ethos has travelled. The London chapter carries the same weight and intention, becoming a vital space for female artists in UK country to be heard, supported, and taken seriously.

Stripped Back, Honest, and Powerful

This Sunday was everything a songwriter round should be. Calm. Intimate. Honest. Stripped-back performances that reminded everyone in the room why songwriting is the backbone of the genre. Just voices, guitars, and stories.

It was the kind of afternoon where you stop thinking about content for a moment and just listen.

Capturing the Details That Matter

From a content perspective, this session had a very clear goal. Alongside general coverage, our main task was to capture four key images for the sponsors UK Country Hat. Each artist had been gifted a fully unique, custom-designed cowboy hat, and it was important that each piece felt individual, considered, and true to the artist wearing it.

We worked quickly and intentionally, making sure every image did justice to both the artist and the craftsmanship behind the hats.

The Gear Behind the Shoot

We kept to our trusted setup: Canon cameras paired with Canon lenses. A kit we rely on because it lets us work quietly, efficiently, and without disrupting the atmosphere of a room that thrives on intimacy. When moments are this subtle, the last thing you want is heavy production getting in the way.

Why We Keep Coming Back

The London Song Suffragettes isn’t just another gig. It’s a space that actively shapes the future of UK country music. Supporting it, and documenting it properly, feels important.

Another brilliant Sunday. Incredible songs. Powerful voices. And a reminder of why these rooms matter so much.
